President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama will begin producing content for Netflix under their company Higher Ground Productions. According to Netflix, the two will create “a diverse mix of content, including the potential for scripted series, unscripted series, docuseries, documentaries, and features.”

Rumors about a possible Obama-Netflix partnership have been circulating since March. In a prepared statement, President Obama says he and Michelle are partnering with Netflix to better share the experiences of others. “We hope to cultivate and curate the talented, inspiring, creative voices who are able to promote greater empathy and understanding between peoples, and help them share their stories with the entire world,” he says. A statement from Michelle Obama adds that “Netflix’s unparalleled service is a natural fit for the kinds of stories we want to share, and we look forward to starting this exciting new partnership.” The Obamas currently have a multiyear agreement with the streaming service.

President Obama is no stranger to Netflix. Earlier this year, he was a guest on David Letterman’s Netflix talk show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman.
